How can I pay for my order?
We use Stripe to process secure payments allowing you to pay with debit or credit cards from all major brands. We also offer Klarna if you prefer to pay over time. All prices are in US$.
Can I pay with a gift card?
Alpha Fauna gift cards can be used to pay for orders on the site. Once purchased, gift cards are delivered by email, and will include the code you can use at checkout to access the credit available on your gift card. Our gift cards are valid for one year from the date of issue.
Gift card purchases can't be used in conjunction with other discount codes.
Do I need to create an account to make a purchase?
No. You're welcome to shop with us as a guest without creating an account.
Can orders be canceled or modified?
Unfortunately not. Once an order is placed, you will not be able to cancel or modify it. Before submitting your final order, please double-check all the details including the items in the cart, plus contact and delivery information.
How long will it take to process my order?
In most cases it takes about 2-3 business days to get orders ready for shipping. Check the 'Shipping' section below for more on shipping times.
What if I receive a damaged or defective item?
This rarely happens, but if there is a quality issue with your product, like a printing defect or damage of some kind, please contact us within 5 days of receiving your order. We will send a replacement to you as soon as possible.
If your parcel arrived with heavy damage, please take a picture before opening it.
How to get a replacement
Email us within 5 days of receiving your order to let us know there is a problem. Include the order number, any relevant information, and a few photos so we can quickly identify and understand the problem. We’ll get back to you to confirm that your replacement is on the way, along with a new tracking number.
What happens with the damaged item
We deal with damaged items on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the particular product and degree of damage, you may be able to either keep it, donate it, or recycle it. We'll work with you to find a solution.
Shipping
Where do you ship to?
Currently, we ship only to the US (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada . We don't ship to off-shore US territories in the Caribbean and the Pacific. Please note we do not ship to PO boxes.
Where do you ship from?
All products are made in the US, and also ship from there.
How much will I pay for shipping?
US shipping fees:
We do not charge additional shipping fees for orders to US addresses.
Canada shipping fees:
We charge a flat rate of $10 per order.
What about customs fees?
Customs fees or duties incurred on international shipments will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Unfortunately we have no control over this process.
How will my items be packaged?
Art prints ship rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube with compostable tube ends.
Woven throw blankets ship in a PET bag or cardboard box (for larger orders).
Most other items ship in cardboard boxes. Fragile items will include some extra protective wrapping.
How long will it take for my product to be delivered?
Orders are processed in 2 stages. Below you can read more about how long each stage takes.
1) Order prep/production: In this first stage, we have to prepare your order, including products that we make just for you as soon as your order comes in. Usually this first stage takes about 2-3 business days. If a product's processing time will exceed this standard period, it will be noted in the 'Shipping & Delivery' section on product pages.
2) Shipping: Shipping to US destinations take about 4-5 working days, and 10-12 working days for Canada. Please note that customs procedures or bad weather may cause delays for orders shipping to Canada.
Please note that shipping times cannot be guaranteed. It represents what we experience in most cases, but delays can happen, especially during the holidays. If your order is time sensitive, we recommend you place your order a little earlier.
At this time we do not offer expedited shipping.
Will all the items in my order ship together?
Not necessarily. As a small business we use a number of partners to manufacture and ship some of our products. This may cause orders with multiple items to be delivered separately.
Can I track my order?
Once your order has shipped you will receive an email from us with tracking information. If you don't see emails in your inbox, please check your promotions emails or spam folder. You can add our email address (hello@alphafauna.com) to your contacts list to ensure you don't miss our notifications.
If a carrier has no information about your package, you may have to wait a little bit. Sometimes it can take up to 2 days for tracking information to show on the carrier's system.
If you have concerns about your shipment, get in touch so we can check on it. Please include your order number when you reach out to us.
What about missing or lost packages?
If your order doesn’t turn up within 7 days of the marked delivery date please get in touch so we can look into it. If you can't locate a package marked as delivered, you can ask your neighbors or check online tracking. If the postal service/courier company confirms a parcel to be missing, we will arrange for a replacement to be sent to you.
Please ensure that correct address details are provided at checkout as this is the most common cause of lost packages.
Returns & Refunds
Overview
As a small independent business, we are proud to offer our customers a selection of products uniquely designed to celebrate the animal world. We do not manufacture or warehouse any of the items available on the site. Every product is made to order just for you once your order comes in. Due to the custom nature of all our products, we ask that you carefully review the details of a product before placing your order so we can deliver something to your front door you’ll be totally happy with.
But as we all know, little things can happen. Have a look at the sections below for what we can do if there’s an issue with your order.
What if I’m not happy with my order?
USA orders:
If you don’t want to keep the item you ordered, we’ll offer a full or partial refund. Let us know in the first 7 days after receiving your order if this is what you plan to do. After 7 days we are unable to process any refund requests. Read more about the return and refund process in the next tab.
International orders:
International orders (orders to addresses outside the US) are final sale. No returns or refunds. If an item arrives damaged we will send a replacement.
What's the return and refund process?
For US orders we offer 2 options for dealing with unwanted items:
1. DONATE IN YOUR LOCAL AREA
This is a great eco-friendly option to avoid multiple shipments for a single item. If there is a charity, school, animal sanctuary, or other worthwhile organization in your local area that may find the item useful, then you can nominate them to be the new owners of the item you purchased.
- Email us within 7 days after receiving your order to let us know that you wish to donate the item. Include your order number, and who you wish to donate the item to.
- We’ll reach out to them to get their approval. If they agree, you can drop it off at their location.
- Once the item is with its new owners we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. For donated items we refund 65% of the total amount you paid for the item.
2. SEND IT BACK TO US
Alternatively, you can ship the item back to us. Items must be returned in unused or sellable condition in order to be issued a refund. Return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.
- Email us within 7 days after receiving your order to let us know that you wish to send the item back to us. Include your order number and the reason for returning the item.
- You’ll get an email from us with return and shipping instructions. For most of our products, you’ll be able to reuse the same packaging for return shipping.
- Once we receive the returned item we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method.
What about damaged items?

Our Products
Where are your products made?
As a small business, we use a number of partners to help us with the production of our products. All Alpha Fauna products are made-to-order in the USA.
What type of paper do you print on?
We use 2 different paper stocks for our art prints. On every product page you will see information about the paper a specific artwork is printed on.
Lustre paper
We print a small selection of our artworks on 240 gram lustre paper. This paper has a semi-matt / satin finish with a subtle pearl-like texture. It works particularly well for photographic works, or for art prints with brighter colors.
Fine art paper
We also use premium 210 gram fine art paper, a sturdy uncoated paper with no shine. It delivers a crisp finish for typographic details, and enhances the vintage feel of some artworks due to the uncoated nature of the paper.

Can I order a particular art print in a smaller or bigger size?
The sizes we offer usually depend on the original artwork. Typically we will offer the largest sizes that are possible, but you can always reach out to us with your particular request.
Can you print a particular artwork on a different type of product?
We may be able to. Email through your ideas, and we'll let you know if it is achievable.
Do you offer any framing options?
We are working on this, and hope to add it to the site very soon.
Do art prints include a white border?
Sometimes. We don't follow a one-size-fits-all rule. In the 'Notes' tab on product pages, the details for a white border will be noted. If there is a white border, it will indicate how wide it is on all sides.

How to flatten a rolled print
Please take extra care when removing your art print from the tube to avoid any damage, tears, or creases. Rolled prints tend to curl once it's removed from the tube, but they can be flattened quite easily by following the steps below.
Once the print is out of the tube, unroll it carefully, and lay it flat on a clean surface, image-side down. Weigh it down with something heavy (such as books) on the ends and middle of the print. Leave it for a few hours or even overnight.
How to keep art prints clean
Handle art prints carefully, and with clean, dry hands. Once you receive your art print, the first step is to get the art print flattened when it comes out of the tube. Once it stays completely flat on its own, it becomes much easier to handle. If you then have to handle the print, make sure you hold it by the edges with both hands. To gently clean any dust off the print, use a clean, dry, light-weight cloth.

Our 100% cotton tapestry throws can be machine washed in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Tumble dry on low.
How to deal with the fringed edge
If the fringed edge gets too messy for your liking, you can use a comb or plastic bristle hairbrush to get it into shape.
